As part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, on February 21 the Italian Embassy in Tehran organized,
in collaboration with the independent literary magazine "Bukhara" an evening dedicated to the works of Antonio Vivaldi.
The event was held at the Italian School "Pietro Della Valle", and carried off a significant success with the public and the press.
After an introduction during which the profound significance of the occasion, the importance of freedom, independence and unity which inspired our Risorgimento, were pointed out, prof. Luciana Ippoliti introduced the figure of the musician and his music, followed by the songs played on classical guitar by the duo Neda Samavati and Kaveh Afshar and those adapted to the canons of Persian music performed by musician and composer Keyvan Saket, which played with the accompaniment of pianist Behnam Abolqasem, pieces by Vivaldi and Albinoni transcribed by himself.
